Gift Drawing: Harbour Lights Lighthouses

Opportunity Drawings: to raise money for the Club and Old Michigan City Lighthouse (already have a Fresnel donated by one local HL store for the event and I am sure more to follow)

Auction: One original oil painting donated by the club's Art Director, Digger..

Oil Painting Subject: Whitefish Point Lighthouse (more details to follow about the auction... an internet proxy bid will be allowed by forum members)

Wow, that looks simple enough. I think that even I could get there. Paul I think that I may have talked my parents into leaving for Mackinaw 2 hours later. If so, then I can probably make the meeting and still get back to Bremen in time for our vacation.

Wow Paul, looks like a great time! Sure wish I was up that way so I could attend. I'm sure the other Hoosiers are really looking forward to this one. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos from this one.

We have members right here in Indiana that will be looking at a 2 hour or more drive. We will be glad to welcome you to our humble little meeting. Only cost will be a gold St. George.

Sore Loser

Sounds like a fine gathering of midwestern lighthousing enthusiasts coming up. As fully registered and paid up members of the club Kay and I should be there if we can get the logistics worked out. It's not the four hour drive over from Missouri that's the problem, it's the debate about who's going to be awake on the drive back that we haven't quite resolved. I'm sure that all these problems will resolve themselves, though, as soon as we locate a bag big enough to hold an industrial size quantity of no-doze. Kay was sure that she remembered Paul, when taking our check, saying something about picking us up for the meetings and I know he mentioned several times about the first few rounds being complementary to the members who traveled the furthest, but now we can't seem to find that paragraph on the membership form. Oh well, I'm sure if we have to drive ourselves over Paul will at least honor the part about the complementary ice teas.

Hey Paul,

You can count Roy and I as part of the midwest group planning on attending this gala affair. Like Gary and Kay we are planning out the logistics of the trip. Roy and I are planning on flying into Indianapolis on Thursday afternoon so we won't need any no-doze until the end of the trip. Roy used to live on the North side and worked at the airport, so he is familiar with the area. I am looking up information about hotels by the airport so we can stay the night and fly out the next day to Chicago. We are also planning on attending the picnic at Wind Point on Saturday. We figured the driving distance would be shorter from the O'Hare airport to Racine. I hope we can work out all the details. If you have any suggestions for the best route to the Snooty Fox Restaurant from the airport please let us know.

Just a quick update about the August 9th... the RSVP list total has reached 56 as of this moment. So far I have a commitment from the owners of 17 central Indiana Harbour Lights storeowners (some own more than one) donating lighthouses and other items for the opportunity drawing and the meeting/party. Digger is working on the Whitefish Point Painting for the auction. Other surprises are already in the works, also!
