Mobile Point, Seul Choix, Gibbs Hill and the St. Augustine Lens have arrived this morning at our store.
All are gorgeous. The detail on Mobile Point is amazing!

I was looking at the images for Mobil Point today and was wondering if the "real" piece has a hole "blown" into the side of the lighthouse, with loose bricks and reveling the steps inside?
I can't wait to see this!! If so, this should be almost exciting as the Hooper Strait Reunion piece with removable roof!

Wondered if last comment was another "tongue-in-cheek" knock against Barking Rocks, so I pulled up HL's page on Mobile. The real flag (not the sculpture's number, etc. flag) changes from American to Confederate every few seconds on the site. Is the flag on the sculpture reversible? Is the piece arriving with two flags to allow the buyer the option of displaying one or the other? (Can't blame this curiosity on loss of mind due to snow shoveling, 'cause I didn't shovel any snow today; may have shoveled other things, but not snow--and I don't drink or smoke that wacky tabacky either.) Sandy,
I've looked at that picture several times, but never noticed the American vs. Confederate flag before. It's kind of neat. I like the idea of having two flags. Wonder what will happen.

I thought I read somewhere that Mobile Point comes with both flags. It's our option to choose which one we want to display it with. For me there is only ONE flag.

Well, I was thinking, if a Yankee friend comes over, it can be the American Flag and if anyone else comes over it can be the Rebel flag. Note, I was born in the South, but seem to have a lot of Yankee friends, even the one that keeps reminding me at the end of the war, the south lost.

I'll have to see the Mobile Point in person before I decide whether or not to sell it. The removable/interchangeable flag was a great idea. Correct me if I'm wrong but the CF's own exclusive, Erie Land Light, was the first to have the removeable flag post. Another brilliant idea from your CF Work Team! Glad to see Harbour Lights thought enough of that feature to use it again. Bob

I like the two flags option too. Wish I could rig it so the flags would alternate back & forth as in Paul's photo. Just kidding. But my next door neighbor should be impressed that I have this edition. He's the one who has the Confederate flag covering the entire back window of his souped up truck. Judy

I am especially eager to get the Mobile Pt light. As a "GRITS" (Girl Raised In The South) the Confederate flag must fly at my Colorado address. (This little guy must surely be whistling the tune "Dixie"!)

Melody,
It could be "Dixie", but how do you know it's not "Yankee Doodle"? I intend to fly both flags at one time or another.

Received Gibbs Hill, Seul Choix, Isle of Shoals, and St. Augustine Lens yesterday--thanks, Jim. BTW, the British flag that's included with Gibbs Hill goes into a barely visible hole on the left side of the piece-- not the open barrel next to the entrance to the lighthouse.

Now, Sandy, how did you know I tried to put the flag in the barrel on our display piece at the store?
On this piece, does it take longer to find the seashorse, or the flag hole?

I can't wait to get my Gibb's Hill. We climbed it when visiting my daughter's in-laws right after she married. What a fantastic view!! Lots of steps. A beautifully clean, tall, tower with a great Fresnel lens in it.

Is there anyone else who hasn't received their new releases for 2007 so far? I haven't received any of them as of yet. My dealer has always been reliable in the past. I beginning to wonder if something has gone wrong. I did talk with them a week or so ago about not wanting the Barking Rocks piece so I know they are still in business. They did mention things were slowly arriving from Maine, but should it have taken this long? Bob

Mine are in at my dealer's but I am going to wait to pick them up when Harry Hine is there on April 7th, so he can sin them.
