This service is meant only for registered
members of the Collector Forums. If you upload images and are not a
member, your uploads will be deleted.
- You must use the same email address in the upload
form as is used in the Collector Forums. Be consistent in how you use
capital letters in your email address.
- If your image is greater than 600 pixels
(about 8") in either direction, it will be rejected. Similarly if the files
size is greater than 999KB, it will also be rejected.
- You upload files through your browser by filling
in the form. Your files will be transferred from your hard drive to a unique folder at
LighthouseKeepers.com
- Complete your name and email address in the form.
Then click on the BROWSE button and navigate to the image location and
click on the file name. The space to the left of the BROWSE button will
now contain the information on where your image is located on your
computer.
- You may upload up to 5 images at a time. Upon
completion, you will have a link back to this page and are able to
upload more images. File names may not include spaces, / \ etc.
- Only image files of the types jpg, jpeg, tif,
tiff and gif can be uploaded.
- Images may be deleted after 3 months. If you
upload an image and you know you'll want it longer than that, preface the file
name with "perm_" i.e.. "perm_avatar.jpg" You must
change the name of the file BEFORE you upload it.
- REMEMBER the exact name of the files you upload.
You won't be able to locate them otherwise.
- If you upload a file with the same name as a previous file, the
second one will overwrite the first.
- Once uploaded, the URL for your image will be
http://www.lighthousekeepers.com/uploads/files/your_complete_email_address/your_filename
When you upload files, you will receive an
acknowledgement by email. I receive a notice of the files that have been
uploaded and links to those images. This service is primarily intended to
allow Collector Forum Members to upload images that they want to display
in the Forums. Commercial use is prohibited. I will be the sole judge of
what is appropriate material and may delete files I consider
inappropriate.
Only click the UPLOAD button ONCE. Be patient.
