From the very first lighthouse sculpture to the most recent, each has a hidden seahorse on the sculpture. Sometimes they are easy to spot; sometimes very difficult.

Over the years, a number of collectors have contributed to the lore and location of the seahorses. Those who first emailed the location, have had their name added to the list in red.

HL107	Umpqua River	Turn to end left of flag. About 1/4" above the rock line shaped like a backward 'C'; very crude.
HL108	Burrows Island	1/2" to the left of the wooden box under the window in the grass
HL109	Cape Blanco	On the side with the flag, as far left of the bush as the flag is right. Very crude 'S' shape close to the 'cliff'. Best seen looking down on the grass.
HL110	Yaquina Head	Left corner of the flag, corner of the building in the grass near the bush
HL111	Coquille River	Go down the stairs, continue around to the side of the building. In the rocks, 1/4" out from the building.
HL112	Sand Island	In grass in front of tower near end of sidewalk
HL113	Fort Niagara	Left of flag, parallel to the corner of the building, on a grassy pile just below the pinkish bush
HL114	Great Captain Island	3/4" to the right of the flag on the bottom of the tan rock at the corner of the building
HL115	St George's Reef	End of building opposite the steps. 3/4" away from and 1/2" left of center of building.
HL116	Castle Hill	Turn right to the front of the piece, on the left in the dark cliffs, the first ledge, close to the light
HL117	Boston Harbor	On the rocks below the back left corner of the house, closest to the tower
HL118	Old Mackinac	1/8 turn right - crudely shaped at the left edge of the bushes below the tower
HL119	Cana Island	Right of the flag at the edge of the bushes in the rocks
HL120	Grosse Point	Turn piece right to the side of the building, where the rocks meet the bush at the corner of the building
HL121	Marblehead	1/4 turn left. The 'bottom' rock in the stone wall, second from the right end of the wall. Seahorse is on its side.
HL122	Buffalo	Turn piece right, in the rocks just below the far right bushes
HL123	Michigan City	Turn so flag is on the left; go up front steps to first landing. Note where brown stairway touches landing. To the left of that point, look on the right side of the first vertical support under the steps, near the wall of the building.
HL124	Split Rock	1" to the right of the flag in the crack of the rocks
HL125	Portland Head	Finally Found! Turn the flag left 1/4 turn, 1" right of the corner of the building and half way down the cliff. It appears to be flat with its head turned to left. Earl Friedell

HL128	Southeast Block Island	Finally Found - by Carolyn Carbone. The illusive aquatic equine is on the bow of the boat as it faces the lighthouse. Look down from above to see it. And THEY said there wasn't one!

HL147	Port Isabel	Turn right past the 2nd set of steps, its in the grass between the 2nd & 3rd group of trees
HL148	New Canal	1/4 turn right to where the stairs meet the house
HL149	Biloxi	With the door facing you, it’s at the back side of the gray rock below the little tree at the edge of the grass.
HL150	Pensacola	At the front of the house, in the rocks just below where the sidewalk bends
HL151	Jupiter	Back side of piece beneath the shack where grass and stone meet

HL153	Round Island	1/4 turn right. Its in the rocks just below the fence just left of the dark gray rock

HL268	Cedar Keys, FL	There are purported to be eleven (11) seahorses on this piece. Help is needed on locations of two of those eleven. Known sightings include: 1. In the back of the building under the picnic table between the porch and the sidewalk. Head and curled tail face down. Jim Fivecoat 2. Upright, faces right, just left of middle of cliff un-der water tower. 3. Look in bottom tan palm fronds closest to dwell-ing next to lavender-colored bush in front of sculp-ture’s flag. 4. Right-facing head & seahorse only are on top of overturned barrel next to water tower. Best seen if viewed between water tower and dwelling through a magnifying glass. Same color as barrel. 7. On the ceiling of the front porch on the long side of the building directly over the stairs. 8. Look at the tower and then rotate to look at the vent on the short side of the building.
