The Long Island Chapter now has merchandise available.
The highlights are: A set of five very detailed pins of Long Island lighthouses (Race Rock, Plum Island, Orient Point, Long Beach Bar, and Cedar Island), embroidered
“Save the Plum Island Lighthouse” hats designed by former Plum Island keeper Tony Tuliano, golf shirts with the LI Chapter logo embroidered on the left side, and a reproduction of the 1911 Instructions to Light Keepers that looks and feels like you took a step back in time and stole it from a keeper (The original from which this reproduction was made was owned by George Ehrhardt, who was a keeper at Long Beach Bar, Plum Island and Horton Point). You can see the new stuff at: http://www.longislandlighthouses.com/uslhs/giftshop.htm
Thanks for looking,
Bob

Just to bring this foward for anyone interested. I see some interest in pins for the reunion. I'll have some to trade but if you want a full set of the pewter pins, this is where you get them.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the gift shop page has been moved to the following url on the new Chapter website: http://www.lilighthousesociety.org/giftshop/default.htm
...might be some interesting gift ideas for the holidays...would be supporting a good cause!
I updated the format - all image photos load a lot more quickly now - and we have the PayPal shopping cart installed on the site - so you can make a purchase online now.
Thanks for your support!

Excellent job on making the website very appealing and user-friendly Kristin. I am going to pass the link onto my children with the hopes they buy me one of the Polo-type shirts with the club logo.

I did buy the Save Plum Island Tee Shirt at the Regional last month and have worn it several times. I have received some nice compliments on the artwork of the lighthouse, which is on the front.

Thanks for posting the link here for all of us to see. Keep up the good work!!

I have the polo shirt and I've worn it and some other Lighthouse shirts I have to work.

It's travel related so I can do so, and it helps to liven up the conversation sometime.

I tell most of the people who come in for travel directions for Maine that there is a rule- Anyone who travels to Maine has to visit a Lighthouse. Most get a kick out of it, and some promise to follow the rule.

I have the "Beacons of the Night" sweatshirt that I purchased at the Northeast Regional. It's really nice and very soft inside!
