Well here is my story on the Pharos shipment... Needles #2191 Trwyn Du #2191 Portland Bill #2171 Bell Rock #2191 and Bell Rock again #2390 They messed up the shipment and didn't send me Ballinacourty. They sent 2 Bell Rocks by mistake. They said they will send me the Ballinacourty right out. The shipment arrived this past Friday in otherwise great shape. 2beacons |

Randy, just why would one HAVE TO BUY another set at the lower price? Or are you just cost-averaging like we do with our stocks?? If you buy another 30 or so sets, then the cost-averaged price would be about $300 each - LOL In any event, you have two sets of a VERY LIMITED EDITION !! ------------------ [This message has been edited by pharologst (edited 08-08-2001).] |

Right you are George! Now having two sets brought the average down a bit! Might be a good investment for the future. It also helps having an extra set since we live in "Tornado Alley" here in Ohio! Hopefully we wouldn't see another one. The last tornado hit two years ago about one mile from our house! |

Received my Pharos collection yesterday! Trwyn Dru 2384 Blue Felt Bottom I believe that I have the highest Trwyn Dru number so far. Also, I am not sure if the felt color is relevant but I thought it was interesting that 4 of them had blue felt and one had green. Lighthouse Ghost |

After reading Lighthouse Ghosts referance to felt color I had to go check mine. And well, mine too are all blue except Portland Bill it's green. I guess thier all that way? Anybodys different? I believe Paul mentioned a while back that the Portland Bill's were made in China, so that's probably why they have the green felt. |

I, too, have a Portland Bill, Eng. (2128)with a green felt bottom. After all the comments, I just had to go and look. The others have the blue felt. I noticed that there were no tent cards but the thought never occurred to me to call HL to see if they are available. Notice, too, that the Pharos do not have a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Kim, like the LE's do. Everybody having fun Yet!! Rich |

When I saw the prices for Pharos on eBay, I gave up on ever owning them. Then I found the World of Shopping site via this forum, and now I'm the proud owner of a set! They arrived in 6 days & were $288 including shipping. My favorite is Ballinacourty because, well... I just love Ireland. But they are all beautiful & no signs of poor quality. The numbers all fall within the range already noted here, but for the record: Ballinacourty....2037 Portland Bill....2074 Needles Point....2247 Bell Rock........2280 Trwyn Du.........2338 Thanks so much for the tip!! |

I have been watching the numbers and I wonder if anyone has given any consideration to swapping pieces inorder to try to wind up with same number sets. So far out of my two sets (10 pieces)only one number has been seen in these listings. And that is: I (Shortcake) have Needles Point #2338 Jan has Trwyn Du #2338 wilsonj3 has Ballinacourty Point #2338 Note that I have only been looking for numbers that coenside with mine but I'm sure that there are plenty out there that would match with whatever you have. This might not be worth while for most of you but I thought I'd bring up the idea. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of you think! Stephanie |

Stephanie, I am certainly open to the idea of swapping pieces in order to come up with a matching set. When I placed my order with The World of Shopping I asked for a matched set if possible. The best they were able to do was three pieces that matched. From time to time I search this thread to see if any of the numbers I'm missing show up. Maybe we can swap them in Baltimore!? I also like the idea of trying to match numbers to get a matched set. If someone sees numbers that could match someone's set, we should try to swap! Any ideas as to how we can do this would be great! |

well for those of you who are going to Baltimore it shouldn't be a problem. Just make arragements with one-another and take the pieces with you to swap. As for me I can't go so I guess I'll have to depend on UPS if I find a swap that I want to make. |

I have worked up a list of all the postings by flag numbers. This might help you find out who has a flag number that you are looking for. See: PHAROS LIST I hope I have been of some help! If not, I tryed!!!! Note that there arn't many matches |
