I just got back from a week up on Long Island. I had a chance to go out to view the Huntington Harbor Lighthouse while I was there. I was wondering how the restoration was coming along since I did not have the greatest angle to view the entire structure? It looked in pretty good shape from where I was.

John,
After many years, the exterior of the lighthouse has been completely restored. Save Huntington's Lighthouse, Inc., is currently working on restoring the interior of the lighthouse with the hopes of making it into a small, offshore museum. Unfortunately, the costs of restoring a lighthouse are usually higher than the money on hand, so it has been a slow process. For more information on their efforts, I suggest you check out http://www.longislandlighthouses.com/savehuntingtonslighthouse/index.htm

Hi John,
I was just wondering where exactly did you view the Huntington Harbor lighthouse from?
