Later this month we're scooting down to Cape Cod for a visit (the mainland, not the Islands). Anyone know if any of the lighthouses are open for tours (particularly Highland, Nauset, and the "3 Sisters?").

We visited a few years ago in the very early Spring when everything was closed (although we did "accidentally" trespass and visit Highland at its brand new location, shortly after its move). Just wondering if they do anything in the summer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bill

Here is the website for Nauset Light tour schedules (3 sisters is just down a path from the light, which can be visited when you visit Nauset, but can't go inside them):

www.nausetlight.org/NLtours.htm

Highland Light can now be toured. They do not have their own website, but you can contact below for times and dates:

Hey Bill! Don't forget to stop at Chatham Light and Nobska Light. They are easily accessible and located in some exceptionally beautiful landscape.

Provincetown is only a short ride from Highland Light. You should stop by and see Race Point, Wood End, and Long Point. Be prepared to do some hiking over the sand!

Highland can be toured and you can climb the tower. We were there last month. Sorry, but don't remember the hours. Also had nice video and gift shop. Worth the visit.

Thanks for the feedback. We've visited Nobska twice and were fortunate enough to catch Chatham at a time when the tower was open during the off-off-season. Really looking forward to seeing Highland again, hopefully when it's open...along with the lighthouses at P'town.
