Many folks do join the Collector Society, as it is a good deal - you get the gift HL, a nice pin to match it, 4 issues of the Lighthouse Legacy newsletter and either a binder for your newsletters (new members) or a print of the light featured in the gift piece (renewing members). It can sometimes take a few months to get the membership kit shipped, but right now they are dealing with the rush from the start of the membership year (it runs May 1 - April 30).
