Now for the "rest of the story" for us who can't figure out "9" and "521" you'll have to educate us.
The 9 is actually "R9M", my initials with the number 9 in between. They refer to it as a 3-digit sandwich plate.
The number "521" is a rare three number plate and those types of plates are extremely hard to obtain. It also was the number of career home runs hit by old-time Red Sox Slugger, Ted Williams.
The "R9M" plate I got when I bought my new Hemi Ram three years ago. My stars were aligned with the moon and I was in the right place at the right time. The "521" plate I've had for around 15 years if my memory serves me correctly. The plate was a turn-in and once again I was in the right place at the right time. Of course these special plates come with higher fees which are usually about twice as much as a regular plate.
