The 87 octane dropped to $2.27 a gallon at the stations near me. Early in the week the newspapers were saying Exxon-Mobil and a few other are enjoying record profits in the billions of dollars. One news source said their profits were up 30%.

The little guy gets screwed and pays the price. The big oil companies get richer and richer. This is why the prices are dropping. Big oil wants us to think they are doing us a favor. Is being screwed less really a favor when you shouldn't have been screwed at all?
