This afternoon I walked into a Harbour Lights dealer looking for some of the newer pieces and came across a Gray's Harbor variant. I was so excited I almost bought it on the spot. After I settled down a bit, I inspected it closely and found an obvious chip located on the roof over the lantern facing the front of the piece. The wind came out of my sails and I made the decision not to purchase it...I figured the extra collectability of the variant would be offset by the damage done to the piece. I was wondering what the opinion was of other members of this forum...would you have bought it or not?
