Yes, a rather large crack although it didn't go much further up the tower at this point. However, note the cable straps all the way up the tower - presumeably to hold it together.

One of the things I'm finding very interesting is the difference in lighthouses by country. Each countries lighthouses seem to have a character of their own. For example look at the roofs of the lantern rooms on many of the lights shown above and how they are different from ours.
