Even though I had the pleasure of making it to the lighthouse at Mackinac Point on my last trip (7/1/08), I decided to make another stop.



This time, I was able to make it into the museum,...



gift shop,.....



....and up into the tower for these pics:



They even have a drink machine advertising the light!



I wonder if the drink cans are labeled in like fashion? As I don't drink carbonated beverages (due to acid reflux problems), I may never know. :b

It is truly odd that a lighthouse enthusiast such as myself would live in one of the only 3 states east of the Mississippi that does not have a lighthouse. Go figure. :p
