Interesting story. I've been told by several people about that water tower looking like a lighthouse! lol It's certainly tall enough. Did you see Plum Island lighthouse across Plum Gut at Orient Point? SC Parks had a huge problem with fees disappearing so that was your hassle. If you would have driven past the Park on Lighthouse Road you could have seen Cedar Island from a distance across the water. You can also see it in Sag Harbour.
