Welcome --

A few summers back, I substituted in a Sunday School class of 2nd Graders. I brought along a Harbour Lights. When I asked if any of them knew what it was, most did not -- to be expected when you live in Arizona.

When I explained about the beam of light, one of them said it was "so the keeper could see the ships at sea."

"No," I said, "it was so the ships at sea could see the lighthouse and be guided away from danger or towards home."

"Kind of like God," I said. "If you want God's help, you must look towards the light. God can see you, but you have to see the light to be saved."
