I'm also a moderator on another bulletin board sponsored by my Association. They use the Ultimate Bulletin Board software 6.2.1.1. This new version has a polling feature that anyone poster can activate. The icon is right between "post topic" and "post reply". It also gives you a list of recent visitors to each thread. I have no idea what it costs to have the updated version.
