The lead volunteer group for Plum Island is now the Long Island Chapter of the US Lighthouse Society. All the same people are involved under a different organization.
The rocks from the Sag Harbor Inlet are now involved under much environmental controversy although the bottom line is 40 boating moorings in the vicinity of the breakwater. The Army Corp of Engineers has promised to get us all the rocks we need from different locations so there is no change as far as that part of the project.
Still there has been no personal contact with the organization from the USDA. We are about to take an offensive approach.
