I recently received a reply to the status of Frying Pan Shoals and Diamond Shoals ligthouses from C.M. Harstfield, Lieutenant Junior Grade, U.S. Coast Guard Sector North Carolina, Public Affairs. Both lighthouses are still slated for demolition, however no dates have been set due to funding issues.
