I bought a book a couple years ago titled "Forgotten Beacons, The Lost Lighthouses of the Chesapeake Bay". This book is a wealth of information on old lights. There have been more than 50 lighthouses on the Chesapeake and her tributaries. Alot of these were screwpiles and caisson lights. With these and other "Lights of the Past", HL has plenty of choices to last more than a few years if they decide to, but as Bill Harnsberger said, "HL would have to choose wisely."
