Thanks, Dave. Super information about where to fly to. I think I will look into Manchester instead of Portland. Also good thoughts about how much time to allot to get to the lighthouses. Yes, Michigan is certainly easy to get to a spot to see lighthouses. I'll make sure that I add a day or two to my trip to make sure I can see the main Maine :-) lighthouses on my list.

I do want to see a moose - saw one in Michigan but from way way afar - so I will schedule late July or August for my Maine trip. How about bears in Maine? Or bald eagles?
