I'm with you on this- especially the new moving ones. I've always disliked them. I'm not really sure why, though.
I don't mind one or two well placed emoticons to convey your meaning but more than that is usually just to much IMHO.
Also- I'm not surprised at your response on the CF Exclusive since this is what was basically said at the very beginning.
