Cathy,

I need to side with Dennis on this one ...

Trying to do all 11 in one day is not the way to do this. Just visit Sandy's posts of her recent visit and you'll know why you want to spend a good amount of time at each light ...

Look at the architectural gems we have ... from the Twin Lights ... to Sea Girt ... to East Point ... to Hereford Inlet ... How could you not want to soak up the atmosphere and admire the structures at each of those sites ...

Then you have the Atlantic Towers ... you'll want to walk the grounds at Sandy Hook (and Ft Hancock) ... the beaches at Barnegat ... maybe the boardwalk a bit at Absecon and maybe just stare a bit at the tallest, white-est lighthouse I've ever seen at Cape May ...

You may even want to see a lighthouse stuck in the middle of a little league ballfield ... we have one of those, too.

Take it from a native ... Autumn is the very best time to be at the NJ shore ... take your time and enjoy it ... if at all possible, give it the second day.

Barry
