Wow, Suzanne, scary trip! I've done the western straits cruise twice and the eastern cruise once. The first time I did the weatern cruise out to White Shoal and Gray's Reef, in August 1998, it was drizzly, cloudy, and 50 degrees with eight foot swells. The top of the boat was getting pounded with waves and every time I snapped a shot I got soaked. What a trip. It will almost 100% be Shepler's cruises, as they are the only ones that do them and will most likely be narrated by a GLLKA member - perhaps Dick Moehl himself, since this is a special group.
