I had to check out the new noise reduction for long exposures on the 20D, so Mary and I went up to Little Sable last Sunday night. I gave her a disposable camera to keep her busy and she did pretty darn good!

25 minutes before sunset.

15 minutes before sunset. Everyone on the beach was taking photos of the sunset, and I was looking back at the lighthouse!

45 minutes after sunset. This is 20 seconds at F16, ISO 100. In between I was taking shots of Mary playing in the water as the sun was sinking.

These last two were an hour after sunset, ISO 400, 30 seconds at F11 with the noise reduction. Made a big difference in the large file, but took a good 30 seconds to post-process in the camera after it was captured. Talk about being impatient! laugh The white dots are not dust spots; they are the stars appearing at twilight.
