Cape Ann Lights aka Thacher Island Twin Lights

From August, 1860 to October, 1861, two new 124-feet high granite Towers were erected 298 yards apart and exhibited Fixed White Lights 165-feet above sea level. Both Lighthouses were First Lit on October 1, 1861 illuminated by First-order Fresnel lenses and oil-wick lamps. Cape Ann Twin Lights were the last two Lighthouses to be fitted with a Fresnel lens.
