Part of the keepers job is to stir the water with the oar every day. Water is extremely limited here. For a shower you get a bag to lay in the sun. On a sunny day you get a warm shower, on a cloudy day...well, not so warm. Then you hang the bag in the outdoor shower and gravity does the rest. I won't even go into the counting that is done before flushing the toilet.
