For those who are interested in the results of this event. Over $2000 has been donated to the Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse as a result of my walks. They were so popular in fact, I added an additional tour on the 16th to try and accommodate interested parties. Over 300 people attended these walks, many people driving as much as 2 hours one way to come to the event. It was even mentioned on NECN during a morning broadcast. All 5 walks sold out, and if time permitted many more walks could have been sold, as many people were turned away, due to there not being enough room. The 8:00 pm walk on 10/2, was subjected to severe downpours during the majority of the walk, out of 60 people who attended this walk in the rain - 0 people left. During the 8:00 pm walk on the 16th, 3 deer walked through the area of the walk, a completely magical moment. Many people became educated about local lighthouses, and the plight of lighthouses in general, which makes these tours even more of a success.
