Here is another shot of Matagorda Lighthouse. Did anyone ever wonder what happen to old keepers?

The Island is close to a 15 min ferry ride from Port O'Connor. The keepers had to bring everything from the mainland including water. All visitors must bring their own water when they visit or campout. I also suggest that you bring a snake bite kit, because of the large number of very mean snakes on the Island.
