We really don't know why the ID label was cut from the box, but most of us realize the value of the piece has been reduced because of it.

Maybe that was one of those pieces that was purchased on eBay then shipped right in the HL box instead of repacking it in another larger box. That has happend more than once if you're in the habit of reading eBay feedbacks.

If someone needs that piece for their collection and they can get it for a great price without the box, then more power to them. I don't display boxes even though I have them. Get my point?
