Values definitely went down the past year and a half, even the 5500s. But supply & demand rebounds quickly on the low issues (mathematically twice as fast - duh!) so when the glut(tic) of the few available go, there's not another 4500 sitting somewhere. It did enable a few of us to jump in and add some of the "normal untouchables", but as Sean said it wasn't that much of a risk on the pre-95s.
As collectors it nice to see the rebound but only our heirs will know for sure since we aren't going to sell any!
