It's an interesting topic, Irish. I don't see any negatives being tossed around. I think it's fun to project what we might do in your situation? You should prepare yourself for the 'what if' - ...the reserve is not met. It is possible to negotiate with the high bidder. BUT as many of us who follow ebay know, the last hour or minutes of the auction might bring some serious bidders 'out of left field' who do not want to enter a bidding war.
