It's worth whatever someone is willing to give you for it. Obviously, it was worth $565 to you so you have a rough baseline there.

Somewhere along the line, we have all seen the charity auctions where gold pieces bring their most. About the most I've seen for a gold piece was around $5000.

I would say the rarer gold pieces could sell for around $2500. I'm not sure how many Eddystone Golds were made, but I would think you got a really good deal for the price you paid.

It all comes back to being in the right place at the right time, and that applies to both buying and selling.
