My fingers have thankfully recovered - it only took about 3 days for them to stop hurting. I was cautious after that - I didn't go Lighthousing for almost a week! I even passed up the opportunity to photograph Big Sable in the snow because of the 1½ mile walk each way. I was terrified that if I got hurt I would die in the snow! I couldn't even call 911 since my cellphone didn't work that far from civilization! I really need to get to Michigan in the warmer month(s).

What exactly is Tornado Alley? I haven't heard of that one before. What is it? Or where is it?
