Been through that about 20 years ago with both my son and daughter. First, be thankful that no one was hurt either in your family or the pickup. Second, find out what your insurance company is going to with your insurance and third, have your son get his own insurance if he is old enough or have him pay the difference between what your insurance WAS before he started driving and what it IS now. It worked with my family. It's amazing what paying the difference out of their own pocket will do for a driving record.
