Does anyone know if the Panama Set has started shipping yet? If anyone has seen it in person, what do you think of it? I know a lot of the talk was that there wasn't much interest, but I thought they are interesting and, hopefully, will get my set.

With an edition size of 4,000 I think they're very interesting. Mira Flores & Gatun Locks are two completely seperate pieces that make up a single edition number. Rather on the small size - one is quite small and they don't have a lot of the 'cute junk' that HL likes to litter the grounds with. I saw the pieces at the Chicago show and think they're neat.

Folks, if you haven't reserved this one, you better get to it.

We've ordered ours - not taking any chances on missing out with such a small issue number.

Since Panama was "retired" before shipping,if you haven't ordered your's you my be too late. It sold out to dealers some time ago. In the September 29th chat "Reliable Source" who is a Younger and assoc. employee said it was scheduled to ship the week after Cape Disappointment. My dealer is on auto ship and gets new releases pretty quick. He has not seen it yet. The 4000 number should make this one hard to find. Better call your dealer to see if they still have any that they haven't committed yet.

Beautiful or not so beautiful, don't miss out on the Panama set. The fact that only 4000 will be made will increase its worth in years to come.

Call your area dealers to find one who has extra sets ordered that are not spoken for.

Thanks for the replies. My boss insisted that he wants to get it for me for Christmas. I want to make sure he knows when it comes in. He told me not to pick it up and that he would get it. If he forgets to pick it up on time, his next trip to Germany is going to be by way of prop plane with a connection in Australia.

Rumor has it that HL is considering issuing more than 4000 Panama sets. Flag #4001 through 8500 will be hollowed out and made into salt & pepper shakers.

News from the condiment suppy community is that the salt shaker will be Gutan Locks, and the pepper shaker will be Miraflores Locks. They're hoping Anchor Bay will follow suit and come up with the "Lifeboat Butter Dish."

(Please remember the moon is just leaving the full phase in this neck of the woods....LOL!)
