I have in front of me the Spring Version of Fort Tompkins.
I had a message on my machine yesterday when I got home from the Hospital from my HL dealer.
I beat her to the store this morning- she had a long line at the bank.
As good as Paul's pictures are (and we all know they can't be beat) the real deal looks better.
The detail is up to the usual Harbour Lights standards. You can even see inside the Front Door just a little bit.
One of the back windows is open and the curtains drawn. You've got the lived in look little touches- clothes drying on the line, the lawn mower out in the yard, the bike leaning on the fence and the flower box on the front steps.
There's even a bird house in the tree on the left
As for the Lantern Room Roof. I'd have to say it was Copper, not gold. It's got the Green Tarnish effect and the underlying color is more Bronze/Copper than Gold. Whichever, it is a great effect.
There's also a little Trap Door in the roof. They even have what appears to be a storage cabinet on the catwalk around the Lantern Room.
I'm now thinking twice (or 4 times) about getting the others.

I just have one small complaint.
All the pieces that my dealer had on hand had the same shortcoming- the top of the box does not stay shut.
The protective strofoam is just a little too big for the box.
Not a big deal, just annoying. It seems to be happining more lately.

Throw the foam away... I told Kim in an email that there was a plethera of things to shoot for the animation but the file would make it take way to long to load up the page if I showed them all... so I will try and show different things on the others versions in addition to the seasonal items.. As it is it was the biggest animation file that I have done to date for the website .... It is quite a lighthouse by Harbour Lights.. [This message has been edited by engbrady (edited 03-22-2002).]

The painting will be unveiled early next week. Those attending the NJ event better take some extra greenbacks for a chance at this one. It will make the perfect display companion for the piece. Shhhhhhh. more info to follow!

I'll be at the NJ event. I'll be there early to setup and late to pack up. Are there any plans for some of us to meet for dinner afterwards?

Nothing definite has been setup yet except that at least three people will be staying at the Courtyard in Basking Ridge Friday and Saturday nights.
Carol Z said she'd like to meet also and I asked her in an earlier post if she knoew of any place in the area. I'm going to do some research later tonight or this weekend.
See you at 10 AM at the hall.Don't blame me for the change- the time to be there came from HL. I still have to contact everyone about it. Just been waiting to make sure no other changes came in.

In response to John's inquiry---NELL's president, Ron Foster, will likely soon chime in and give the details. The bottom line is that NELL will be there both officially and as a enthusiastic cadre of lighthouse lovers..Carolyn and I are also looking forward to the event..Frank Carbone

MJ and I are looking forward to this years Spring Regional in NJ and are interested in getting together with all of you folks who wish to meet for dinner (or breakfast). We will be arriving Friday evening and returning home on Mon. We plan to do a bit of sightseeing also.
There are others from NELL who will be there(besides the ones who have chimed in here already).
NELL will have signed, limited edition prints of Digger's Old Michigan City painting as well as pins for sale. We look forward to seeing you all and getting together for a bite to eat.
