At only 3,000 being made of Sand Island you are probably right and all of the rest this group at the old 5,500 Edition size, there shouldn't be any of this group that end up needing a forced retirement, they all should get to their full 5,500 Edition size..

WOW! These lights are storming across the country pretty fast...
I just heard word from my dealer in Florida that these babies have already been delivered there and are currently being shipped to collectors already.
I too look forward to the Sand Island, AL!

FEDEX should deliver my Sand Is and the new TX LE from that Nags Head, NC dealer I was referred to Monday - seem like nice folks. I stopped by Collectible Cottage in Gardendale, AL, one of the stores that announced they were going to 'order only' with H-L's. They have changed their minds and have since ordered the new ones! Oops... I have just found someone who will ship them to my door reliably, I hope - and no sales tax - or sudden mind-changes! Well, they (Collectible Cottage) do still have some mid-numbered LE's and GLOW's at 1/2 price, if anyone is interested - check the dealership listing at H-L site for contact info (Their website is under construction).
Stainz
PS I really like that Brandywine LE - the 'A.P.' I received over a month ago. The best part was the cost... thanks, H-L!

Sounds like you may have found MY favorite dealer...the super nice folks at The Lighthouse Gallery in Nags Head, NC. They are extremely reliable, Stainz. The only "problem" I've had is dealing with the huge supply of "peanuts" and extra or (excessive) packaging to assure that my order arrives in perfect condition. Prepare to fill a lawn sixe plastic bag! Judy

By your conversations, I'm getting the feeling that only a few choice dealers are selling these particular lights? Are there any in Indianapolis?? Beaconjo

With all the great releases this year, do you all feel with HL going back to 5500 edition numbers that they will have the same appeal as say the original 5500 early releases? I was very surprised and pleased that Sand Alabama had such a low edition number. Rick

Rick --
HL has definitely put together a strategy to encourage some limited edition collectors back into the fold.
Edition sizes 5,500 or smaller. Prices generally $65 - a few more, a few less.
And the continuation of a '3 years and out' retirement rule that started several years ago.
I think it's pretty saavy. What do others say?
