Received my LLOMs of the new Chatham, MA light made exclusively by Cape Annie's Lighthouse.

This is a great replica and was well deserved in the LLOM form. Thanks to both Jim and Ann for working with the HLs folks in making this exclusive a reality! I trust with the limited edition size of 300 that this light will sell out with the combination of collectors and the volume of tourists that travel to Cape Cod every summer and is looking for a reasonably price momento from the Cape.

I thought it was interesting to see '2008' on the side of the piece. Very nicely done!

Thanks Again..... wink

I also recieved my Chatham LLOM's today, and they are great. I've not collected LL's (only had two prior to this year), but I love the idea of 'special' LL editions in low production issues, and most for fund raisers. I've been fortunate to get all four released this year and plan to keep up my collection with any future releases. Once again this forum enables us early info on these limited releases.

On a side note, my long time dealer informed me that as of the end of the year they are giving up the HL brand. While talking to Jim he welcomed me to Cape Annie's customer 'family' and I'm sure they will provide great service and keep my collection up to date.

If I didn't have such a committment into the full size LE's, and I was just getting into collecting lighthouses, I think the LLOM would be the way I would go. They're relatively inexpensive, easy to store, easy to display, and with the exception of a few special limited pieces, they are easily replaced if damaged. They can be a collector's dream.

A couple of the Chatham LL's arrived yesterday, one for my collection and one for the Club giveaways.. I will shoot some images of it comparing it to the incorrect roofline (remember) of the Chatham LE and post in this thread..

Our Chatham little lights arrived yesterday. We reiceved numbers 54 and 55. A nice surprize. The pieces are nicely done. Already sent in for the special raffle they are holding to raise money for Sandy Neck.

We have also gotten all four of the special edition Little Lights this year and will continue to do so as long as they keep producing them for fund raising efforts.

Amen to that.
I would be $20,000 richer and able to display them all in on curio cabinet.

Two Curo cabinets, Daniel, that's what I have at home right now... It actually is three rows deep in 1 1/2 cabinets displaying all of my Little Lights right now..

I could fit them all in one of my larger cabinets like the one below..

Boy, do I remember this. I did not have this pc. I had also just been reading Rutherford's guide about variations, modifications, etc. When I heard it was going to be retired, I called HL and Nancy told me I could find the pc. at a shop not far from Houston. I just had to get there to purchase Chatham before it was gone. Of course, there was never a big rush for it, but what did I know back then? And I did need it to complete the Lady Lightkeepers set - I've never been on autoship.

The cabinet with glass on both sides is really nice. They are getting the creative juices going for me to build one for the family room. cool

Paul, Thanks for posting the link back to the 2002 thread. smile

WOW! The craftsmanship on LL291 is fantastic. I like it much better than HL172.

I need to make a slight correction to that opening statement.. The LLOM291 with a special back stamp and numbered were made by Harbour Lights for Cape Annie's.. They will have it exclusively for about 6 months when a regular non-numbered version with a regular back stamp will be able to other stores, this imformation comes from Tony C..

I will add an image of the back stamp tonight..

For a couple of years, I've been thinking of making the big - or should I say "little" - switch to LLOM's. They are remarkably beautiful for the price, a lot easier for my budget to take, AND I could find space for them more readily. Can't wait for my two Chatham lights to arrive - love that stamp! I, too, have purchased all the recent limited editions - would love to see a lot more of them!

Received my number 29 today.

I have a lot of the LLOM pieces, but I really like the special limited pieces.

I had started my collection by only buying LE for lighthouses I have been to, and LLOM for the rest of the state.

After reading these posts, I went ahead and got me one. Lowest numbers left started in the 160's . I asked for #188 and received it shortly after placing the order.

The Chatham LL is beautiful! I have numbers 131 and 151 (purchased another for my sister). I lived in Chatham and grew up with this lighthouse. I have the larger HL Chatham lights but now I can bring the small one to work. Thanks Cape Annie's Lighthouse for working with Harbour Lights....this is the best little replica of Chatham I've ever seen. The detail is remarkable. If anyone ever gets to Chatham in summer you can go up in the tower and on a clear day the view is spectacular!
Thanks again Cape Annie's Lighthouse and Harbour Lights! applaud
