Did anyone else receive the newsletter from ALF ( Daymark or The Daymark) in the last day or so, and read the article that HL is going to be making some more LE LLOM for NELL fundraiser(s)? I'll have to update this post when I get home with some of the lights that were mentioned.

Didn't see that article you mentioned Melodie, but I'm sure interested.

There is another numbered LL that will be coming out sometime fairly soon. (other than the ALF or LI Chapter pieces).

The NELL LLOM, one from each of the NE states are:

Race Point, MA
White island, NH
Pomham Rocks, RI
Avery Point, CT
Windmill Point, VT
A Maine lighthouse yet to be determined.

The series is to be issued slowly over the next 3-4 years and NELL will order the total production lot of 500. All are to be numbered and have a special NELL commemorative backstamp. The article goes on to say that NELL will be able to reserve the same number for each of the models for those supporters who commit to purchase the entire series. Further information will be published near the initial delivery date.

This is very interesting. I like the fact that it is a series which is proposed to last a few years. Looking forward to it! wink

We may get a hint, we may not !!!

My guess is Avery Point, CT if this release is included in the Grand Tour.

My Guess is Pomham Rocks, RI if it's not part of the Grand Tour.

Stan,

Avery Point and Ponham Rocks are included in the six NE States LLOMs being done for NELL--all but the Maine one are listed in an earlier statement in this thread.

I'm sorry, I should have said, "Will you give us a hint, Dave?"

As I remember some old English Grammer lessons, "can" is used to ask if one is physically able, while "will" is used to ask if one is willing to...

Sandy, I was just making a guess from your list. Since they will be released over a 3-4 year span, I was guessing which one will be announced in the next couple weeks.

Sorry for the confusing. smile

Melody referred "to the newsletter from ALF" when she started this thread and Dave said it was "other than the ALF or LI Chapter pieces".

I wasn't confused.

Yes Dave I know. It is fun to mess with people minds a little.

After reading the post again, I am no longer confused either.

-(2) LI Chapter lights (Huntington Harbor and Cedar Point), as posted a few months ago,
-(6) NELL lights, as posted above in this thread

and now, at least 1 other light from a "different" organization that is not NELL and/or LI Chapter.

OK, now that I have spelled it out and we are all on "track", how about a small hint about the mysterious LLOM piece, Dave.

Dave,
That's not much of a hint as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it could be anywhere in any state that has a coastline!

Will you tell us which coastline? Pacific, Atlantic, one of the Great Lakes?

Now, Hilari. Most lighthouses are on very pretty shoreline. I suppose I could think of a few that aren't, but not many.

At Mel's request, let's rule out the Eastern seaboard.

BTW, you left off the Gulf Coast........

Good Friday Afternoon!

I could simply tell you what all of the special edition LLOM are for the rest of the year! but I am not going to! That is the fun of collecting!
I recently allowed a Dealer to post the information on a Limited Edition Replica that is being released in June! I did it on purpose! I need to cause the phones to ring at the Dealers, who are reporting that while Harbour Lights sales are steady their businesses are hurting from the lack of traffic!
If collectors are frustrated because they don't know what's up - that's GREAT - it causes conversation and THE HUNT!

Bobo, Somehow I don't think the reason I collect lighthouses is to be frustrated !!!

You know Loon,

I obviously feel the same way as you do on this subject. I don't want or need this frustration and aggravation. When will it end? Or will it?
