* Maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.
* 90% of all US doctors had no college education.
* More than 95% of all births took place at home.
* Sugar costs four cents per pound and eggs 14 cents per dozen.
* Crossword puzzles, canned beer and iced tea had not yet been invented.
* Only 6% of all Americans had graduated from high school.
* Only 8% of the homes had a telephone.

The ironic part is some of those conditions still exist in some places of the world. We are so fortunate to live in America.
