Apology #1 I have been swamped with a major project for a client this past week and several other small projects have come due at the same time. That plus 3 out of 4 PCs crashed over the weekend prevented me from updating the Weekly Briefing page Sunday evening as usual.

Apology #2 - I moved some images and files around on the web site and now have some broken links - pages that you can't get to and pictures that may be missing. I'll fix those soon.

But now it's Tuesday and I'm taking my wife out to dinner and a movie so it won't get done until tomorrow. She deserves it for putting up with all the time I spend working on this site.

You guys will have to wait another day for the tidbits of news.

St. John of the Internet, Webmaster.

You go, John!

For all the effort and dedication you put into this site, you should be rewarded. Heck, I'd suggest you make the next weekly briefing good for 2 weeks so you can enjoy a break from it all (unless, as I suspect, working on this site is your idea of R&R).

Hope you're going to see Mask of Zorro. Great, old-fashioned flick.

Bill

Wish we lived closer and I knew where you folks were going to eat. I would be more than happy to pay for your dinner after all the time you give for the rest of us. At the very least I would buy a bottle of wine and propose a toast (probably not the best idea as we would inevitably discuss lighthouses, the last thing that your wife would like to talk about on a night when she has you away from this site). Bon Appetit!!!

Enjoy it St. John. For all the excellent, hard work and long hours I KNOW you put in on the best site on the web, I hope you have a wonderful time. Did you see Armageddon? Terrific movie, IMHO. Nothing like R&R with the wife for refreshment.

Way to go John.

I know when you get it all back together, it'll be better than the best. And that ain't easy. Enjoy your night off.

Since it's summertime I think we should give St. John 2 whole weeks off and just live on the Forums. Thanks for all the great information John.

Just tell us what movie you saw and what you had for desert. With all this time that you spend looking at this tube I hope you can appreciate the lasting beauty of your wife!!

John,

I hope you had a great night with your "real" family. Everybody needs a day off once and a while, espically as hard as you work. Enjoy your time off, and my sincere thanks to you for all your hard work, time and effort in making this the best website on the net!!

My wife and I thank you all for your kind words and understanding.

Had dinner at Bandera's in Scottsdale (no dessert) and took in "There's Something About Mary" which we both concluded was aimed primarily at those in the 13-19 age group instead of our - ahemm - somewhat higher age group.

I'm going to take up the suggestion of a 'two weekly' page that will cover the site through the 31st while I finish up the current backlog of client work.

Regards,

John

Hi John,

Since I've gotten on so late in this round of talk, I'll just add my thanks to everybody else's. I appreciate the great job you do with the site, and concur with the idea of taking some time off. Glad you had a nice night out.

Rich
