Although I am not a Cubs fan, but living just outside of Chicago, I went out and bought a snow blower yesterday in advance of hell freezing over.

Go Cubbies! (we got nothing else going on in Chicago anyway)

Congrats to the Cubs! It must have been a big day for all the Chicago fans.

It was also a very big day in my area. The Boston Red Sox pulled out another magical victory to tie it up two games to two with Oakland! AND, ..the New England Patriots beat the mighty Tennessee Titans, even though the Pats have about nine regular players on the injured list.

It was pretty tough on the New England sports fans yesterday because both games were on television at the exact same time.

Oh well, such is life in the world of sports!

If the Cubs and the Red Sox could make it to the Series, who the heck would you root for???

Maybe hell really will freeze over and we'll be faced with this dilemma??? Time will tell!!! smile

Unfortunately, the weather is turning much colder around here and it isn't because hell is freezing over. I'm afraid winter is coming faster than we want it to.

I would love to the Red Sox and the Cubs in the World Series. Does anyone think that could happen? I know, wait till the bottom of the ninth today in Oakland. We'll get an answer then about the possibility.

A Cubs-Red Sox World Series would be OUTSTANDING...although it would be painful to watch knowing that one of the teams (and their fans) would have to lose (again). As a baseball fan, I would be GLUED to my TV.

Just for random fun, I was trying to think of a fair NFL equivalent to a Cubs-Red Sox Series and I came up with a Super Bowl in 2041 between the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings (assuming that neither one wins between now and then)...just a thought...

I was thinking the same thing! My floor erupted when that last strike was called! Needless to say, I'm the only one with "Go Cubs!" on my dry-erase board...

I picked the Cubs v Yankees at the beginning of season. Wood, and Prior are the best young pictures in baseball! Sorry Oakies your young studs' time has passed. Cubs and Red Sox are a great story but don't forget the "I can't believe we're still here?" Marlins, and the New York Yankees.
Won't Wood and Prior look great in pinstripes when there time comes? lol wink

Exciting game, lots of offense but wrong outcome for the Cubbies.
Mark, there's lots of teams(in the era of alternative unis) now that have copied the pinstripe but there is only one team that you think of when you say 'wearing the pinstripe'.
I do like your 'hell freezing over' though...
Go Cubs at least for this series!
Bob

as a Red Sox fan, I was able to keep my head held high all summer and now into the fall. Could be an exciting next two weeks
