Here are a couple photos of lighthouse projects I.O. and I completed a while back.

Here is a cross stitch that I did:

And here is the Woodscape of Nobska that I.O. did. This was my Christmas gift in '99 that he actually thought I wanted to make. It took a bit of convincing that the real gift would be for him to assemble it. Eventually he got going on it and while it turned out very nice I'm sure it's one of those "never again" projects!

Looks like we have all kinds of talent here. I can see there was lots of work put into these pieces and they are great.Bill O'Brien oseabee

Nice job! Mombo! How tall is that one with the cross stitch? How many hours do you think you worked on that one to complete it?

Okay Sue, are you taking orders?

Thanks for sharing these two labors of love with all of us.

I'm glad you finally finished the cross stitch project! This is the one you told me about around a year ago, right? It looks great!

I have several lighthouse cross stitch pictures done now - Wind Point, Wi; Holland, Mich; Round Island, Mich; plus many more pictures that are not lighthouses. But, my collection of lighthouse cross stitch patterns is vast. I may never find the time to make them all, but if I see a good pattern , I will buy it!

Thanks from both of us! The stitched area on the cross stitch is about 5 1/2" x 20". Hours? If I ever counted up the hours I'd never want to start another one! I worked on it quite a bit last spring, not much in the summer and finished up last fall sometime.

Like Suzanne, I've got a bunch of patterns as well as some kits waiting in the wings and am currently working on a non-lighthouse project.

Here's a neat site I found if anyone is interested. You can get a cross stich pattern made for you based on one of your photos. Might be fun to do.

That woodscape was a bear. You had to punch out all the pieces, paint them after mixing upteen colors of paint and then glue them onto the frame (after you had assembled it).
