I'm buying two Tim. I plan on keeping one and will probably let my local HL dealer talk me out of the other at cost. She had me pick her up a HOTM when I went to Hatteras, so will probably do the same with the REXA (assuming I will still be attending when next October gets here). Rich ------------------

I plan on buying one piece and when I get home it will go with my collection.I think it would be a good idea if the reunion piec werelimited to one per collector and people went to the event to enjoy themselves and the company and comradery of the other collectors.either that or give a memento of another sort to the attendees. oseabee.

Oseabee, I agree 100%! While I enjoyed every moment of the first Reunion, my best memories are of meeting, chit-chatting, and going out to eat with fellow collectors.
And I think HL will give each attendee a special memento - the Reunion miniature of Hooper Strait. I really love the minis of NPL and Rose Island and expect the miniature screwpile to be really special. And if this reunion is like the previous there may be additional special mementos such as the thumbnails. A lot to look forward to!

We'll be buying two. There are several members of our club who will be unable to attend the event and the extras will go to them.

Two of us attending = four reunion exclusive sets. One set for my collection, one set as a gift, two sets for sale at a later date to recover money spent on my HL collection. Those are the facts from the East Coast where it is clear, cold (32 degrees), and very dark at the moment. Bob

Two attending as well = four REXA pieces = one set for personal collection, the other 3 for trade material. For example, back in '97 one NPL got me pieces like SE Block Island & the rarer Assateague; in '98 one extra Rose Island set got me CH1 & Sandy Hook.

in '98 one extra Rose Island set got me CH1 & Sandy Hook. If I read this right, you got the deal of the decade. You traded one Rose Island and got an ORIGINAL Cape Hatteras and a Sandy Hook??? Not GLOWs, right? Limited Editions?

Two will be attending. Purchased 4 - will keep one set and use the others to trade for other pieces.

Three of us going, so that makes 6. One for display, one for safe keeping in the basement and the rest for sale or trade. We live in a tornado alley just north of Cincinnati. (Had a major one hit Apr. 1999 just 2 miles away!)

2 attending - getting 3 right now. May call back and add the fourth. Keep two for ourselves and eventually use the others as gifts or trade material.

I thought so too, Sean...especially since the LE's I traded for were signed & unsold from an original dealer...and the dealer, in turn, was happy to get Rose Island REXA's since they were unable to make the event. I still have one NPL left over from San Diego, do I keep it as a backup (I do live in earthquake country) or use as future trade material?

I have registered 2 people and ordered the max 4 pieces. You never know what kind of market there may be a few years down the road for these pieces (in trade or cash) but I am sure I'll always be able to recover my $85 cost if I choose to sell any extras.

Two attending, but ordered only two HLs. Never thought that registration day of extras. Guess that is maybe because all I do is buy HLs, never thought of trading, selling, etc. Maybe I'll change my mind & order at least one more.
