Anybody see the latest issue of "Antiques & Collectibles"?

The "Passionate Collector" column features yours truly.

If you want to read it, see this image - but be patient, it's a large file and may take many minutes to appear.

A "Passionate Collector" oh my. Guess that means you're a WACKO!

If thats a REXA, looks like you're surrounded by a tidy $4k collection. Wonder why they didn't include any GLOWs in the picture. lol

Nice article - congrats!

Congratulations John!

What a great article! You make a fine representative for collectors of Harbour Lights and all of us wacko's who look up to you as a collector.

Now if we can only change his mind on Lady Liberty...LOL

Great article. Congratulations. Another example of why some of us affectionately dub you St. John.

Nice write-up, John. Congratulation. I assume that you chose which HLs to surround your own picture with, am I correct?

-Art

p.s.: I noticed that I left the "s" off of "Congratulations" above when proof reading. I was struck by the novelty, having never before wished upon nor received from anyone a *single* congratulation (they must be gregarious), so I left it that way (what an innovative pioneer, eh?). But you deserve more than one, so here's a few more:

Congratulation Congratulation Congratulation Congratulation Congratulation Congratulation Congratulation Congratulation Congratulation Congratulation ...

[someone has got way too much time on his hands]

John,
Are you trying to scare everyone off. It loaded for me (in black and white) in less than 20 or 30 seconds. I sat here waiting for it to finish before I finally realized it was done.

Could modesty be making John trying to scare people off. Naaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh.

Gives the rest of us wackos something to shoot for. St. John blazes the trail. The rest of you wackos - fall in.

John, if you're trying to figure out whether or not I'm congratulating (See Art , not congratulatings) you. I are.

Once again John, an un-selfish public gesture that goes a long way to show others what all of us here have known, Harbour Lights are a great way to learn history and enjoy collecting. Congratulations.

Yep, I picked and chose which photos to use, even made up the montage using a clip art photo of some bearded guy I found on one of those "250,000 pieces of 'art' for $10 CDs"

All the 'interviewing' was done by email. My greatest regret -- I didn't get to meet the author.

Thanks for sharing the nice article with us all. The article stated that you collected 220 lighthouse miniatures in 2 years. Hopefully, it won't take 220 years to get those elusive 2 (CH1 & Coquille??). They couldn't have chosen a better representative for this article. Kodos John.

John,
I forgot to ask. Did your picture appear in the Antiques or in the Collectibles section?

Congrats John, it's nice to be recognized once in a while! You have certainly done that for many of us as webmaster for HL.

I saw you describe yourself to a new collector on the chat a couple weeks ago a short guy with a beard. I immediately wished that I could have been on the chat to ask "you mean like "mini" BILL!TIC
Where did you get that airbrushed photo of that young guy?LOL

Seriously, I'm glad you've been recognized, you certainly deserve it!

PS What's the two HLs you need? Coquille and CH?

Perhaps Paul will post another photo of himself holding those two lighthouses and then you can "click, click, click' and they're yours. Congrats!
