I still can't resist deals on Harbour Lights. I'm still purchasing one or two extras a week when the price is right.

I now own four Edgartown HL's and the most recent one to be delivered has a signature on the felt base, but it isn't Bill or Nancy Youngers'.

The signature was apparently done with a Sharpie just like the ones that Bill and Nancy use. The first name of the signature is definitely "Tom". The last name is a little harder to read but it appears to begin with an "F" and it looks like it ends with "ll". I'm guessing the last name might be "Farell".

This "Tom Farell" might be an HL Rep. Can anyone confirm that fact?. Does anyone have any idea who this guy that signed this piece might be? If you do, please let me know.

Inquiring minds from the East Coast, where winter will not go away, morning low temps still go below freezing, but today is Easter (Happy Easter!) and at least the sun is out and the temps might go into the 50's, would like to know!

Yes. Tom Farrell is a Harbour Lights rep (he also represents other collectible lines). I've met him a few times. Nice guy.

Well thanks for the answer, Bill. Another thanks goes out to Ken Reese who emailed me with the answer.

Why reps sign pieces is beyond me. If some guy came to the door and sold you a vacumn cleaner would you ask him to sign it?

Hopefully you will have our today weather tomorrow Bob. Think it was around 75 here today and quite sunny. smile But it has been very windy so it really didn't seem that warm. And now we are supposed to get cooler temps again and rain. frown

Hi Sue, ...I have to agree with you regarding Reps signing HL's. The piece is in mint condition so I would hope a Rep's signature wouldn't adversely effect the value. Besides, how many people pick up a piece on display to see what the bottom looks like. This piece will eventually be sold anyways.

Weather is suppose to be nice here today. It's a holiday in Massachusetts, Patriot's Day. It is also the day of the Boston Marathon. I'm working today but hope to get a few of the hearty veggie plants into the garden later today. I just hope the weather continues to improve.

What if it was a Limited Edition Sisters Island vacuum cleaner with a picture of Tom Farrell dressed in a beaver costume?

T

(...though why anyone would need to clean a vacuum is beyond me.)

Well I didn't see any beavers on Sisters Island, but if it were misspelled as vacumn I suppose it would add to the value of the piece, no matter who signed it..... wink
