Have any of you checked out the "Recent Visitors" at the bottom of the main page that lists all the threads here at the CF? I see a lot of our family of friends listed there but they never stop by to say "Hi!". Apparently, they read what's here and leave without saying "hello". How about a few of you, that haven't posted in ages, take a few moments to let your fellow CF members know that you are still around and well, or whatever? It would really be nice to see some of those old screen names appearing in a few posts once in awhile!  Bob

Hi Everyone!
Been a while since I posted. I usually visit every day but haven't posted in months. I got out of the habit in September when I had back surgery and it wasn't easy sitting in front of the computer. I am still collecting HL..just got 2 with lightning rods (my first with rods!).

Sandy Hook and West Quoddy were the two rods I purchased. I would love to buy more as my budget allows. I just had to spring for a new curio cabinet a few weeks ago and I could really use 2 more! I put Sandy Hook and W. Quoddy up on the "shelf of honor " in my new curio..up with the Pharos I bought about 3 years ago.  Cathy

Indeed....It has been too quiet lately, need more rumors or gossiping to go on.... Heck, I chime in every now and then, but the talks have been so quiet or just doesn't interest me, that I find myself just 'crusing' through all the time.
Perhaps when the next cargo container arrives or the announcement of the collectors sosciety pieces for 08'-09', now that we know what the event pieces are.
Perhaps some more LLOM exclusives for later this year?

Hi Everyone! Glad to have you back Cathy. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
I have posted some, but not a lot because we have had our 18-month old granddaughter alot. She keeps us running but I do check the posts to stay upto date on whats going on.

I check the list of visitors most every day or so. I see many old friends of the CF but I don't see any posts from them. I wish they would say "Hi" once in awhile.

Daniel, I haven't done much painting at all lately. Seems everyone wants pen&ink which is fine since that means less work for me. I have been kept very busy doing restoration work on rare hunting collectibles. For the past 2 years I have been restoring Winchester hardware/boyscout window posters, calendars fishing lures, antique hunting decoys, etc. for them. Just when I get caught up they bring more to be done and always something different so it has been anything but boring. I do get a little nervous when they tell me the value of what I am working on and how extremely rare many of the items are. It's like a little Winchester museum here all the time Bad thing is it takes up almost all of my spare time leaving me no time to do my own work. The money is good and regular so I can't really complain though.
