I am a new collector to HL and have aquired the Lady Lighthouse Keeper set. Recently I received a catalog from Lighthouse Depot, Wells, ME. Do you know anything about this company. They list "Keepers of the Light Figurines" and have 3 of the 5 lady keepers. I don't want to deminish my beautiful lighthouses with less than stellar quality ffigurines. Can anyone assist a rookie?

I know just what you do probably. The set of sculptures is limited to 2,500 I believe, serially numbered. Price is $50 or so.

From the pictures (I've not seen them in person) They just didn't seem 'humanistic' looking.

I'm hardly un-biased, but I'd put the $250 towards 2-3 HLs.

Anyone buy those 'busts' yet?

I've seen them. Decided not to buy. They look okay but to me they seem to demean the art that are Harbour Lights. Make the lighthouses more like toys than collector pieces.

Buy another lighthouse.

Seen them for the first time last weekend. Too small, not very detailed, just didn't do anything for me. I don't think most people would even notice them amongst the lighthouses and even if they did I don't think they would associate them with HL's. Besides I couldn't find any seahorses on them so they don't count anyway.

I know the Lighthouse Depot well. Very reputable company up in Wells, Maine. However, I have to agree with the others. I saw the figures recently and was suprised at how small they are. I think I will pass.
