I took the test and scored a 28. How about you? Dennis Citizenship Test Very interesting questions. How well would you do if you took a citizenship test? Try this one out - it is educational and fun. 24 out of 30 is considered a passing grade. It's reported 96% of all high school seniors FAILED this test .. and if that's not bad enough, 50%+ of all individuals over 50 did too! Now for the test ... Click on the link below. www.toast.net/games/Independence/page1.asp Fortunately the correct answers are given ... after you are graded.

Dennis,
I snuck by. Unless you regularly refer to the various ammendments you might have a problem with the test. Those studying for citizanship would have been going over the "key" ones, but how many of us regularly refer to some of them?

From this side of the pond... I did 23 ... fell over the amendments too... You really would have to study some to get over those questions. How many of you ever need that kind of information?

I'll admit I guessed on a few but I actually did know most of them.
I'm not sure why I did and I'm also not sure why anybody would need to know some of them- like how many admenments have not passed, who was born in Texas, etc.
I think some (like that last one) were picked and worded to get people to choose the wrong answer since GW is so connected to Texas.
It's just an interesting little excercise that I thought would fit in here- especially with the recent thread about the protests at funerals.

Missed 1 on both tests, how many amendments not passed and how many presidents got less votes than opponent.

I got 26 out of 30. Several years ago someone I knew from the Ukraine was applying for citzenship and I got all the sample questions right except for knowing the current Congressman for my district.
Many of these questions were not on the sample questionnaire I saw.

I think some of the questions were actually formulated to make it difficult to score well. About 1/3 of them don't really fit the definition of things you should know as a good citizen- they are just trivia questions that most of us either know because we follow things fairly closely- or we guessed well- or a little of both. True that a lot of us love trivia and so we know a lot - unfortunately, the older we get the more we forget! That may be why a lot of 50 + folks failed it. I didn't see the second test either.

27/30 on the first one, 14/20 on the second one. Guess it's a good thing I was born here...don't have to worry about citizenship.
